The national hate group, American Family Association, had it's splinter cell, One Million Moms, start campaigning against JC Penney's choice of Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson in a series of changes the company has been making to it's image. The reason it's a bad choice? They say too many of their customers are conservative families (translated: prejudiced against any non-hetero sexual orientation) and they will lose sales.
I'll be honest with everyone here: I don't choose where to shop based on spokesperson's. Never have. Never will. BUT NOW! Now that I know shopping at JCP would be a blow against the AFA? I'm gonna go out of my way to spend more of my money there. Nice job, ignoramuses.
