Totally Balls - Sex discrimination legal in Michigan, apparently

Found this on Yahoo!

My problem with this story, beyond the obvious that this is ludicrous, is that the people in charge of these rules failed on two ends.  They first wrote a law stating that females can participate with males in a sport that doesn't offer both gender options for participation; yet the geniuses never thought to add the words "and vice versa"?  The second problem is that typically sports commissions are built in a way that rules can be interpreted fairly in case what's been written and agreed to was designed for one problem, and not for another.  In other words, the spirit of this rule was likely built with the idea that females were being blocked from male dominated sports and that's not fair.  The same spirit of that law should apply in this case, just swap out the pronouns.

Cheerleading suffers enough from idiots who don't recognize it as a sport, let's not let ridiculously obvious solutions like this pass us by.
